Due date reminders

consequenceThe most common excuses I am hearing from students about why they are not keeping up with the due dates are these: “Oh, I didn’t have time,” and “I was busy.” We have talked at length about how they need to make working on these things a priority, but unfortunately natural consequences might have to occur. In this case, a natural consequence is that they are furiously trying to get the majority of this packet done on Sunday night, which will be stressful. These due dates were intended to help them work progressively, so this wouldn’t happen. But as they were told today, whether or not they decide to follow through with the due dates is ultimately their choice. Due dates for the following week are below:

5/11: Word work #13 and Los Duraznos reader response questions due

5/13: Word work #14 and Las Uvas reader response questions due

5/16: ENTIRE Esperanza Rising guided reading packet due (completed)
